impressivelad A masterpiece of sparkling indie pop. This project is dripping with infectious, heart wrenching melodies. The production is very dynamic and well executed.

cloudychelc found this on a whim and the lyricism is incredible; the album remains on repeat for me. only wish it had a vinyl I could spin at home. Favorite track: Negatives of the Moon (On a Moonless Night).

tonirali the stars have aligned with this one. it's a trip through time and space, with all the wide-screen imagery and detailed minutiae that you would expect in a masterpiece. 2021 has just kicked up a notch <3 Favorite track: Somewhere Anywhere.

Will we ever Will we ever get this right? The sun is going down And soon you’ll be left with visions of outer space Look out the window The star is gone and the lights are fading away The gravity pulls us off the ground but I’m not alarmed anymore Don’t try to fight the laws of physics It feels like home at the event horizon We are falling in a black hole We are falling in a black hole No one can save us now (Will we ever) We’ve passed the point of no return (Will we ever get this right?) In the silence that surrounds us You’ll find the comfort of loneliness But time will have no meaning It’ll not pass us kindly by While our heads are deceived by the beauty of Sirius

Leaving footprints on the surface of the moon It’s entirely up to you, whether you’re staying or coming An entire galaxy could easily fit in your room You just have to make some space for the unused pages In this lunar daydream I find Space friends and silhouettes It just lacks the atmosphere And the small sounds of comfort But the moon is cold, and the moon is dead But the moon is nothing in the galaxy’s edge I just wanna be here I don’t wanna leave But the moon is cold, and the moon is dead But the moon is nothing in the galaxy’s edge But the moon is cold, and the moon is dead But the moon is nothing Taking pictures of the night sky Waiting for the perfect moment When the moon is under attack by the sun’s neglect But I think I lost it now Or I never really got the chance It was all just a premeditated dream She was chuckling behind the curtains Hey Moon, it’s your moment, the stage is yours But the moon is cold, and the moon is dead But the moon is nothing in the galaxy’s edge But the moon is cold, and the moon is dead But the moon is nothing Spoken word taken from Apollo 17 mission communications: "Houston, before we close out our EVA, we understand that there are (...) young people from countries all over the world, (...) they had the opportunity to watch the launch of Apollo 17. (...) Probably one of the most significant things we can think about when we think about Apollo is that it has opened for us (...) a challenge of the future, the door is now cracked, but the promise of the future lies in the young people, not just in America, but the young people all over the world learning to live and learning to work together." I just wanna be here I don’t wanna leave I don't wanna be here I just wanna leave But the moon is cold, and the moon is dead But the moon is nothing in the galaxy’s edge But the moon is cold, and the moon is dead But the moon is nothing

In blurry photographs the universe stands still Somehow I’ve gotta see behind the entropy One hand peeking out the window, the other closing it I’m on a road to somewhere, anywhere not here The storm has just begun, an interstellar burst The clock was watching me collapse into the floor My feet were covered by the blankets of our ghosts And I couldn’t help but laugh No I couldn’t help but laugh Oh in this planet I can’t find somewhere to go And the UFOs above don’t seem to know In this atmosphere nothing seems to grow Faster than I do In desperate solitude, the spaceman says there’s nothing but dust out here Faint candles light up in the sky, but everything seems to have lost its sense Maybe it’s time to break Maybe it’s time to break away (x3) Oh, Sirius Yawa kaerb ot emit s’ti ebyam Oh in this planet I can’t find somewhere to go And the UFOs above don’t seem to know In this atmosphere nothing seems to grow Oh in this planet I can’t find somewhere to go And the UFOs above don’t seem to know In this atmosphere nothing seems to grow Faster than I do

Reverie 05:56
I used to have a meaning for every single little thing Now I find some comfort in surreal liberty I see the reflection of a young self-conscious guy In the scattering of lights up in the sky With eyes closed, feeling the hysteria With eyes closed, getting high on agonists And the feeling dissipates, it never really was there And the feeling dissipates, so I take off into space and stay in Reverie (x3) An old man told me eventually that beauty never lasts No matter how many flowers blossom, how many simply die So burn all the fuckers and throw their ashes up to the sky All the beauty lies in dreams and you can only see the beauty when you’re in Reverie (x4)

"Despite that, the vast stretches of the unknown and the unanswered and the unfinished still far outstrip our collective comprehension." It’s getting hard to see through all these lights The movie reel has caught fire now We’re all burning bright In a space flight with all our windows open And all we do is dress real cool and pretend that we’re something we’re not And all we do is survive through the end of all we know A few light years away (x2) I reach for the stars A few light years away (x2) It’s getting hard to see through all these nights The stars above don’t shine for me now They’re all burning bright And Sirius has come to burn our past And all we do is watch the moon and pretend that we’re something we’re not And all we do is survive through the past and present tense A few light years away (x2) I’ve seen their lies A few light years away (x2) Why won’t we see beyond the clouds Even if the universe is full of lies Should we all rage at the sky above The stars they shine They shine for all of us They shine

Lest we fly downwards And spiral ourselves away But here among the stars Where’s downwards anyway? Lest we fly downwards And spiral ourselves away But here right next to Sirius Where’s downwards anyway? Lest we fall apart Apart from where we stand But here among the stars We can find a getaway Lest we fall apart Apart from where we stand And I’m long too far gone A few light years away Lest we fly downwards And spiral ourselves away But here among the stars Where’s downwards anyway? Lest we fly downwards And spiral ourselves away But here right next to Sirius Where’s downwards anyway? At last we fall apart Apart from where we stand But here among the stars We can find a getaway At last we fall apart Apart from where we stand And I’m long too far gone A few light years away At last we fly downwards And spiral ourselves away But here among the stars Where’s downwards anyway? (Where’s downwards anyway?) At last we fly downwards And spiral ourselves away But here right next to Sirius Where’s downwards anyway? (Where’s downwards anyway?) At Last we fall apart Apart from where we stand (Apart from where we stand) But here among the stars We can find a getaway (We can find a getaway) At last we fall apart Apart from where we stand And I’m long too far gone A few light years We are falling in a black hole We are falling in a black hole I just wanna leave At last we fly downwards And spiral ourselves away And I’m long too far gone A few light years away Away Away

Reaching for heights above We’re taking off to the brightest star I forgot to say goodbye to my friends I forgot to apologize We were screaming at the top of our lungs Last time we went to Sirius No one could hear you speak No one could hear you cry No one’s coming to save you, daydreamer (x2) No I never really got to know myself clearly From humanity’s point of view I’m just living In the scattering dust that falls from your ceiling And the skeletons in my closet are still breathing But I found another way to spend another evening In the satellites that forgot to take me with them I’m not listening I’m no longer human being I’m just stardust And I never waited for someone to get a good glimpse And I never waited for the time I stop dreaming And I never waited for someone to come save me No one’s coming to save you, daydreamer (x4) No I never really found myself in other systems But my body feels better when I travel at light speed My lover tells me it’s clear I’m gonna get far ‘Til I run out of fuel at the border of my backyard And the gravity drags (x3) And the gravity shouts at me, for the black hole where I’m falling She asks when I’ll bite the bullet and stop fighting and I said: I’m just starting And I never waited for the end of the story And I never waited for the time I stop falling And I never waited for someone to start hoping And I never waited for someone to stop gravity And I never waited for the time I stop dreaming And I never waited for someone to come save me No one’s coming to save you, daydreamer (x4) I would do anything for anyone to save me now But no one’s coming

At night I dream of broken hallows My past self wouldn’t recognize For each thing I stole from him He ran two hundred thousand miles And I lost myself for too long I was led into a hatred warren Between fragments of a dying star There were so many to choose from All my bones crushed by the unknown, my ears wide shut, I can’t hear my own voice So every single night I feel like I Fall into my grave when I fall asleep We’re not contemporary So I ask myself Will we ever get this right? (x4) So I long for completion Alongside the shadows of my unfinished sentences And all the letters I’ve thrown away Dance and laugh in absolute silence I’ve read all the chapters of my autobiography My ink is just too dry to write it Let’s have another glass of liquid amnesia We can dance and stop asking ourselves why Will we ever get this right? (x4)

about

Will we ever get this right?

My everyday life is drenched with vertigo from the lack of
one's purpose in the grand scheme of things. I go to sleep
wondering about a million and one things beyond human
comprehension. Things we'll never understand, questions
that we deliver into the void with no plausible answer to
follow. I fear the currents of time and the inevitability of
the hourglass. My love for space is immeasurable and keeps
me going through the abstraction and absurdity of
day-to-day life. All these feelings and more are fragments
of me I can only get out through music, and I'm certain
many people can identify with the things that keep me up
at night, therefore I hope at least one person can find
solace in the words I say in my new album, even if that's
just myself coming to terms with it all.
It was entirely conceived by me between March 2020 and
February 2021, from writing to mastering, which was
necessary for me to create art that resonates with my feelings.
"Fragments of a Dying Star" is a concept album about all
the above, a metaphorical statement about losing yourself
wishing all the metaphysical answers you most desire,
a sense of purpose among the stars.
